Terms of use
These terms cover your use of Hireyard, the Android application published by SUMON ENTERPRISE. Last updated 29 July 2026.
1. The licence you get
Hireyard is provided free of charge. You may install and use it on devices you control, for your own business or personal purposes. You may not resell it, redistribute modified copies, or remove or obscure its authorship.
2. Your records are yours
Everything you enter is stored on your device. We do not receive it, host it or process it. You are responsible for keeping backups — Settings → Backup writes a file you control — and for the lawful handling of any personal data about your own customers that you choose to record in the app.
3. What the app is not
Hireyard is a record-keeping and calculation tool. It is not accounting software, not a tax filing, not a payment service, and not legal advice about hire agreements. Figures it produces — rent, deposits, damage charges, balances, utilisation — are calculated from what you entered and from the billing rules you set, and remain your figures to check.
4. Availability answers are advisory
The availability check reflects the hires recorded in the app at the moment you ask. It cannot know about a commitment you have not written down, kit lent informally, or a return that has not been recorded. Treat it as the strongest available answer, not a guarantee.
5. No warranty
The app is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. To the fullest extent permitted by law, SUMON ENTERPRISE is not liable for lost profits, lost records, or indirect or consequential loss arising from use of the app. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
6. Changes and contact
